Review:
This book has a beautifully illustrated cover, which was deliberately why I picked this book in the first place. The cover is a white page with red veins, which is quite interesting and attractive.
The story itself is understandable, yet I had to re-read several chapters over and over again because I didn’t get the plot. But generally it’s about a world plagued with disease because humankind became so corrupted with money and war. That is why they got cursed by an ancient spell. Or something else.
The setting is in United States, but some of the events took place in an aeroplane or airport, where R lives. R is the main character of the movie, where he meets a human Julie, and falls in love with her. He saves her life instead of eating her brain, which the zombies consume to live on and also relish their victims memories.
Much later on, they found out that the curse reversed and the zombies turned back to human again. They celebrated and hope for the new life together.
I would recommend this book to vampire or paranormal book lovers. This is my first zombie book and it is really quite interesting. Much less than some of the fiction books that required some pushing onwards for reading on, this book was the only one I couldn’t put down.
It is also affordable at only 7.99 pounds. Which is around RM 35.90 in my country. Isaac Marion is a talented writer and maybe one should read the other zombie books such as New Hunger.
